
Mr. Karapetyan has performed as a soloist throughout New England and in Virginia and Pennsylvania. He is a lecturer at Clark University of Worcester, MA and at the Boston Conservatory Special Program.
Mr. Karapetyan holds a Masters Degree and an Artist Diploma in Violin Performance from Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory, Armenia where he became the Director of Pedagogy Courses and a lecturer at the String Department. Before moving to the United States he was the Artistic Director of the Ancient Music Ensemble and the concertmaster of The Children’s Opera Theatre of Armenia. He also held the positon of assistant concertmaster of the Gelikon Opera Company and Competition Winners Chamber Orchestra in Moscow, Russia.

With his wife, pianist Nune Hakobyan, and saxophonist Andrei Sobchenko they have established the Boston NOR Trio, performing in recitals throughout New England. Most recently they performed for the Rachmaninov Russian Festival held at Boston University’s Marsh Chapel.
