
Miniona Petrosyan was born in Yerevan, Armenia, in a family of musicians.
Because of her love for the piano at a very young age, Miniona attended Tchaikovsky Music School at age five. She graduated with honors from Komitas State Conservatory in Yerevan and received her Masters in piano with distinction. Miniona continued her studies with Dominique Weber in Geneva Conservatory, where she obtained her teaching degree with high honors in 2004.
Currently, she is preparing her Masters of Arts Interpretation at “Haute Ecole de Musique” of Geneva, while attending master classes with Marc Durant, Julian Martin, Blanca Uribe, Ivan Klansky, Alfonso Montecino, Francois-Joel Tillolier, Jean-Claude Pennetier, Violette Breguet-Safarian, Robert MacDonald and Helene Russo. Miniona has participated in many festivals such as: VIII, X, XI International Piano Festivals in Gijon, Spain; International Festival (Plaisir de Musique) Annecy, France; Chopin Festival in Geneva, Switzerland; and VI Piano Festival (Concertus Saisonnus) in Geneva, Switzerland.
In 2009, Miniona received the Gabriel de Agostini Award in Geneva. A resident of Switzerland, Miniona teaches piano and performs in concerts and recitals across Europe.
