Types of scholarships offered

full tuition is paid directly to the school or the private teacher by the Fund. This scholarship is awarded based on merit to the student(s) who is in the upper 1/3 of his/her class. Awards are reviewed annually and may be renewed for up to 5 years based on the recommendations of the teacher. The request must be received at our office before the close of business on May 1, 2008. Annual renewal requests must be received by May 1 of the school year which starts in September of that year. HBMF reserves the right to accept post deadline applications under certain circumstances

This program is designed for high achievers and can only be applied for by the school or the teacher. The student must rank among the top 10 percentile of his/her class and it must be demonstrated that financial assistance would help the student remain competitive in the particular discipline. Funds will be available for most expenses such as books, material, tuition and instruments for one or more years. The number of scholarships awarded and their duration will depend on the benefactors participating in this program. Awards are reviewed annually and the performance of the students will be considered in the process. The request must be received at our office before the close of business on May 1, 2008. Annual renewal requests must be received by May 1 of the school year which starts in September

A one-time sum of 100 to 500 (USD) is given to a student to alleviate a difficult financial situation. The circumstances that have caused the hardship must be clearly defined and must be verifiable by an independent observer.
