On October 24, 2010, a few months before her 94th birthday, Zabel passed away peacefully; her son Ron informed us.

Zabel,
An unrelenting advocate of love, art and beauty Zabel’s life became intertwined with mine as my life expanded spherically when Peter B took me in as friend. Although I cry every time I remember them I also feel that their hearts are joined in mine and will live on so long as I am alive.
