These concerts are presented as a means of introducing world renowned Armenian singers and musicians to the local public. Although we have organized several of these concerts, only one is documented here currently.

Barsegh Toumanian is a graduate of Yerevan’s Komitas Conservatory and La Scala Music Conservatory, Milan, Italy. Opera companies around the world have sought after Mr Toumanian since 1989 when he appeared at the Royal Opera House in London followed by a benefit performance to aid the victims of the Armenian Earthquake. Since then he has performed in England, France, Austria, Germany, Australia, Netherlands, Argentina, and in the Unsuited States with Newark’s Metropolitan, Boston Opera Company and has appeared with Placida Domingo in Los Angeles. His last appearance in Boston was in the fall of 2000.
A graduate of Komitas Conservatory, Yerevan, Armenia Sussanna Martirosyan also trained at Opera Theater of La Scala Milan, Italy. She has been the principal singer at the Mariinsky Opera Company in St. Petersburg since 1993. Winner of numerous competitions including second Grand Prix at the International Competition of Opera Singers, second Prize at International Vocal Competition, and Grand Prix Speciale – ‘French Melodur’. Martirosian has toured and performed in concerts throughout Europe, the United States and Japan.
Gregory Chaverdian is the first prize winner of 1989 Rio de Janeiro International Competition. A graduate of Komitas Conservatory, Yerevan, Armenia, Mr Chaverdian has performed on stages in Poland, Hungary, Italy, Brazil, England, Ireland, United States and Canada where he currently lives. His performances have been broadcast by CBC FM. He has shared the stage with performers such as Yli, Eleanora Turovsky and Barsegh Toumanian. He has appeared with conductor Nurhan Arman and presently teaches at Mc Gill Conservatory and Music of Concordia University.
