Our Boys of World War II.......

Roger: Thank you so much for sending us the DVD!!! We watched it last night and were thrilled by the scope and depth of the story. It was a professional work of art and a tribute to you.

The DVD is wonderful. I found it so interesting and I don’t even know the chaps. You must feel very proud of such a great production.
Again thank you, With all best wishes

Hi Roger,
I got a chance to watch your documentary “Our Boys.” I enjoyed it very much. The old music was great, and the “I’ll Be Seeing You” selection at the end was very touching. I think it’s important to make documentaries featuring members of “the greatest generation” before they are gone. It’s also important to emphasize the contributions of Armenian-Americans to the War effort. Great job!

Roger, my favorite documentarian,
I just finished watching, for the second time, your DVD “Our Boys.” It is amazing. Very moving and extraordinarily interesting. Listening to the reminiscences of those brave men, talking like their experiences were ordinary and nothing to be celebrated was awe-inspiring. And the looks on their faces as they were recalling events and details was chilling. Wow!

Thank you so much, as always, for sharing your work with me.
Fondy,

Memory Fragments of the Armenian Genocide.......

We truly enjoyed having you visit our classes and I hope that you maintain contact with other members of our department so that you can visit LHS again to show your wonderful film.
Best of luck in the future

Memories of Marash........

Dear Roger,
My thanks for the wonderful work you have done on Marash.
Best wishes,

It is such a very sad, sad story. The first time I watched it I felt awful. I wonder if our world will ever change. However, I am so very happy to be able to look at it again and share it with my friends.
Thank you for your life sharing.

Hi Roger: Thank you for sharing with all of us your video on Marash. Honestly, you did such a great job with the background and research you did. I know how time consuming it was for you but also at the same time so rewarding.

It was just unbelievable to see my family included in your documentary.
Thanks once again

I show the video to some friends. They can’t believe your talent and dedication. I think it is the dedication that takes you far beyond what some would expect the video tape to show. It is so very informative and educational that it should be on a shelf all its own. I know I learned a lot from you and I thank you. I also thank you from my daughters who may not appreciate it now but in another ten or twenty years they will.

You have helped greatly to leave a place in history with your talent. I am not just saying this; I say it with deep feeling and appreciation. I thank you for letting me and the others that contributed for being part of it.
Thanks again.

Roger,
I viewed your wonderful DVD and was so impressed and moved by the story. The singing, music, and photographs were haunting and your storytelling was deeply affecting. I was really taken by the personal accounts of the atrocities at Marash; it was chilling to see those people remember and sometimes relive those horrors.

I’m so grateful that you allowed me to see it, and learn more and more about the Armenian experience.
My best always,

Roger
It was a fascinating and little known history of your people. The making of this work reflects your deep sensitivity and love for family and for the Armenian people. Thanks for sharing this with us.
Best!

Dear Cousin,
The remastered DVD was great to see in its entirety again, and certainly emotional seeing my Dad and hearing his voice; yet what a memorable way for his story to live on, along with all the others.

Hi Roger,
It was a hectic night, but most of all a successful night. The size and the passion of the audience were impressive. We are grateful to you for speaking and showing your film.

Thank you again for presenting your film on this most important topic to us and for donating it to our library.

Dear Roger,
Congratulations on a great job! It’s a wonderful film. I loved the music. And thank you for inviting me to introduce you. It was a pleasure and an honor.
Very best
